to 6 large yellow onions, peeled and cut in large slices
1/2
cup butter, cut into tablespoon-size pieces (do not use margarine )
Preparation
Place onions in 5- to 6-quart slow cooker.
Top with butter.
Cover; cook on High heat setting 9 to 10 hours or until onions are dark brown and caramelized.
