cup dried lentils, sorted, rinsed

can (14 oz) fat-free chicken broth with 33% less sodium

oz fully cooked low-fat turkey kielbasa, cut lengthwise in half and cut crosswise into slices (1 cup)

cup drained roasted red bell peppers, chopped

tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves

Preparation

In 3-quart saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic; cook until tender. Stir in lentils, broth and water. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 minutes.

Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 4 to 5 minutes or until lentils are tender.
