medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)

cup vegetable broth

cup maple-flavored syrup

cup barbecue sauce

Preparation

Mix all ingredients in 3 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker.

Cover and cook on low heat setting 7 to 8 hours or until beans are tender.
